We're all talking about the cold weather, and how it impacts things, but for most of us, it's just an inconvenience.

That's not true for homeless people in Portage la Prairie. Devoted To You Ministries looks after them as much as possible, and co-founder Ron Eldridge describes what's happening now.

"They're doing what they can to stay warm," he says, "We're out there with blankets, sleeping bags, longjohns, boots -- everything we can to keep them warmer. Supplying them with Tim Horton's and McDonald's gift cards, with a value of $10.00 each, so they can go in, and warm up in there."

Eldridge hopes you can help.

"If people can help us out, we would be very grateful for that," he says, "I know we've got this for quite a while, according to the news reports I've been watching, and we're going to be very busy out there with this."
