The Portage Terriers are back on the ice tonight when they take on the Winnipeg Blues. Portage remains hot with a 6-2-1-1 record over their last ten. Winnipeg has lost their last 8 consecutive games, an holding a 2-8-0-0 record in their last 10 contests.

The Terriers come into tonight's matchup with a little bit of their swagger back, garnering a pair of wins after a three game losing streak the reached back before the Christmas break. A 5-0 victory over Swan Valley and a 3-2 win over the Winnipeg Freeze should have the Terriers ready to play after their game intended for Saturday in Dauphin was postponed due to road conditions.

Several players mentioned post-game that they need to be more physical, and that will be aided by the addition of the 3 players acquired at the deadline all drawing into tonight's projected lineup. Aidan Brook, the former captain of the Dauphin Kings, along with teammate Rhett Perrin both add their share of grit to the lineup, while chipping in offensively as well. Jesiah Bennett, picked up from the Waywayseecappo Wolverines, adds some snarl up front as well.

Tonight could be the night when Terriers head coach and GM Blake Spiller wins his 671st, which would break the record he tied with Doug Stokes on Friday night against the Freeze.

The contest will be broadcast on CFRY, with Cody Buhler handling the play-by-play. Puck drop is 7:30.
