The Portage la Prairie School Division has announced who the new Superintendent will be following this school year. Todd Cuddington has held that position for years but recently announced he will be leaving the position at the end of the school year. Cuddington will still hold the role until the end of June.
A familiar name will be taking over as former Assistant Superintendent Pamela Garnham will take on the duties once Cuddington is done.
Taking Garnham's former role as Assistant Superintendent is Rochelle Rands, former Director of Student Services.
It is a first for the division as it has never had a female superintendent since the division was incorporated in 1959. It is also the first time women are in the top two positions of the division.
