A 29-year-old Brandon woman has been arrested and faces charges after allegedly breaking and entering a home in the 100 block of 6th Street NW in Portage la Prairie.

Officers responded to a call on October 4th at around 9:20 a.m. that the woman was going through yards in the area. It was learned the woman had entered a home on that street and she was placed under arrest. She faces several charges including Break and Enter as well as Possession of Property Obtained by Crime. She was released and she will appear in court at a later date.

A few days later, officers dealt with another break-and-enter situation. On October 7th, around 8:30 p.m., a 31-year-old Portage man was found in the area of 10th Street NW and 6th Avenue. He had an outstanding Warrant of Arrest. In his possession, police found items used to break into buildings as well as other property that did not belong to him. 

Kiefer Beaulieu (faces charges of Possess Break-in Instruments, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime as well as the charges from his outstanding Warrant. He was remanded into custody and was scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.
