Portage la Prairie RCMP were called to a home in the 100 block of Royal Road North last week after police heard a man entered a home, and the owner had to push him out.
Officers went to the home on Sunday, May 7th, around 5:36 p.m. Police told the man he was under arrest, and he took off. Officers did catch him quickly, but he resisted arrest. After taking control, police placed 28-year-old Jeremy Catcheway safely in the police vehicle.
Catcheway faces charges of Being Unlawfully in a Dwelling House and Resist a Police Officer. He was released on Court Ordered conditions the next day.
