The Central Plains FC are undefeated in Portage; however, they are also winless. Central Plains finished their home opener in a 1-1 tie with Stonewall United. Head coach Brett Hannah says the team played better as the game went along.

"We were pretty slow at the start, and that was evident because they scored first. In the second half, they didn't have many subs, and we took advantage of that. We ended up potting one and putting on the pressure," Hannah explains. "We just about had four or five goals, but we just couldn't get it in the net, which is unfortunate."

Adam Thompson was the lone goal scorer for Central Plains, finding the back of the net for the second time this season. While they didn't come out on top last night, Hannah is optimistic about what the rest of their homestand has in store.

"I think us bringing that pressure late was important. These guys have been playing pretty well lately, and they did good against this team's defensive line," Hannah continues. "I think our confidence is high when we attack like that."

Central Plains will play their next eight games at home. They welcome Argentinos FC on July 13.
