Make that 12 planets in our solar system. The International Astronomers Union has selected three new planets for the solar system, they're Ceres, Charon and Xena who's actual name is still a serial number.  All three bodies are located near Pluto and have been under consideration for years.  Winnipeg Astronomer Scott Young says it's an interesting choice, adding it will cause some confusion at first.  Young believes new planets will be added as more discoveries are made. For the most part Young notes many will not ever see these new planets, however he says with a professional telescope it is possible.
