The PCI Trojans football team has just received some new gear thanks to a sponsorship from Nissan.

Trojans manager Mark Dibol says this contribution helps them out tremendously.

"Nissan really came through for us. We were able, through fundraising, to purchase some new helmets but we sure needed some new shoulder pads and Nissan came through with 20 sets of shoulder pads. They also threw in t-shirts for all the players as well. Great contribution."

Dibol explains they are constantly fundraising for new equipment.

"We have to fundraise all the time, there's a lot of money spent. Each player, on their back, when they play, has well over a thousand dollars on them, per player. So it takes a long time to build that up. The stuff that the people have on now is great but we have to continue to fundraise because in about five years you won't be able to use that anymore and we have to provide stuff for the next generation of players."

Dibol was pleased when he learned, back in August, Nissan would be sponsoring them. He adds this makes for a great start to the season.
