The Portage Collegiate Trojans High School Hockey team is hitting the ice again tonight against the Carman Cougars. They're coming off a 9-2 loss to the Altona Miller Aces. Brenden Schaan is the head coach of the Trojans and says this game should be better.

"We're finding that offensive momentum now so we're hopefully able to capitalize on that, score a couple goals," explains Schaan. "We'll keep playing defensive in our end and play responsibly. Should be a good game."

Schaan explains there are some things they'll be watching out for against the Cougars:

"What we noticed last game was in the offensive zone they like to do a give and go in front of the net," says Schaan. "We're just going to make sure that our defence is always aware of who's behind them and make sure that that guy's not open in front of the net and able to just tap an easy goal in."

It's been a bit of a rough season for the Trojans, Schaan explains what he feels is the issue:

"Making sure that mindset of 'we want to go out there, we want to compete hard, we want to win hockey games' is going through everyone's heads when we step out on the ice is the most important thing for us," says Schaan. "They know all the systems -- they know how to play hockey. It's just a want to win."

Tonight's game is at Stride Place. Puck drop's at 7:30.
