Bailey Homes celebrated their new retail showroom recently with a fundraiser to get more kids on the ice.

Arron's Chance 2 Play was the recipient of a large donation after all the proceeds from the BBQ and silent auction fundraiser event on September 6th were counted. Shawn Bailey was excited to see so many people check out their new space, while also supporting a great cause.

"Well, the total was $2552. We had a great turnout -- a fantastic day," says Bailey. "Thanks to everybody for coming out and supporting Chance 2 Play."

Community Support Coordinator, Sara Martens, says Bailey Homes is a perfect teammate for their cause.

"Chance 2 Play gives kids an opportunity to take extra curricular activities," says Martens. "Bailey Homes are passionate about that, and they came on board with us. We thank Bailey Holmes very, very much for partnering with us for that."

According to the website of Portage's own, former NHLer, Arron Asham, 'The goal of the program is to provide hockey opportunities for area children, despite the difficult economic circumstances of their families.'

Bailey Homes hopes you'll check out their new showroom if you're in the market for home renovation supplies.
