The Canadian Government has cut over one billion dollars in funding.

Selkirk-Interlake MP James Bezan notes their are four main reasons for the cuts -- value for money, unused funds, efficiency, and non-core programs, also known as programs that do not prioritize Canadians.

He adds the Canadian Government wants to fund effective programs. Bezan says the new government has also reduced the national debt by 13.2 Billion dollars.
