Nomination packages for the upcoming October elections will be available on Monday.

 

Geoff Lambert, a political science professor at the University of Manitoba, encourages people to get involved. He says it's important, but fun as well.

Lambert notes every community has tensions and political competition is a good way of easing them.He adds it is always nice to see new faces among city councillors, but if they're doing a good job they should be re-elected.
