It's been seventeen years since Adam Trudeau became General Manager of Portage Toyota and RV in Portage la Prairie and the business itself is being celebrated for being in the community for fifty years.

Trudeau says times have changed since 2006 and it has certainly kept the industry interesting. He says the customer knows what they want as many do their research before walking in the door. He adds they want to help them finish the process.

"A lot of the technology has changed," says Trudeau. "The biggest changes we would have noticed is with Internet and the ability to shop 24/7."

Trudeau notes they have put their entire inventory online so customers can see what is always available. Recently, Portage Toyota and RV held their annual showcase so people could come down and see the vehicles in-person. Mother Nature wasn't very polite, dropping the infamous spring winter storm last month. Trudeau says they took the storm in stride.

"Would it even be the Portage Toyota and RV Show if it didn't snow?" laughs Trudeau. "We muscle through it and it went good in the end. People like the new layouts and all the light interiors and the RV's."
