Mayor volunteers as driver for Operation Red Nose

With Operation Red Nose starting up this coming Friday, due to it being such an important service in Portage, the Mayor is opting in as a volunteer. Mayor Sharilyn Knox explains the value behind the program.

"Operation Red Nose is probably one of my favourite volunteer programs that happens every year," says Knox. "It just gets people home safely, it lets people enjoy the season and celebrate, and just takes one thing off their plate to worry about."

She says she's grateful for all the volunteers and organizers who do this yearly. 

"I'm going to drive... well, myself, and maybe some other councillors are going to drive."
