A driver in the RM of Minto-Odanah was pulled over for speeding on April 12, leading to much more than a speeding ticket.

The motorist was initially pulled over for going 125 km/hr in a 100 zone. However, they also had a lit marijuana joint in the front seat and tested positive for cannabis consumption.

The 42-year-old received three tickets for the incident. These offences, which included speeding and driving under the influence of drugs, totalled $1,287 in fines. As a result, the driver faced a 72-hour licence suspension, and their vehicle was towed and impounded for three days.
