The Federal Justice Minister wants action to keep us safe from dangerous offenders.

The abduction of a young boy by a predator in Saskatchewan earlier this week has prompted the Federal Justice Minister to contemplate some action.

Vic Toews wants to meet with his provincial counterparts to see if they will agree to administer dangerous offender laws consistently.

He also wants to develop a protocol for offenders who have served their full prison terms and are released back into society.

Meantime, Toews says he is relieved the boys involved in the Saskatchewan incident are back in the safety of their families.
