The Westpark Royals won 56-7 over Dufferin tonight in Zone 4 Varsity Girl's basketball at Westpark School.

The Royals' offense was spot-on, as they didn't have any trouble moving the ball down the court. Westpark led 29-3 after the first half, and only allowed 2 baskets in the second.

Grade 12 Royals' player Heidi Steppan had 4 points on the night, and talks about how they stay focused in a blow out.

"A lot of that has to do with our coach (Ian Alford). What he tells us a lot is keep a sportsmanlike conduct, but still be competitive. One thing too we've talked about is it's bad to lose, but it's worse when you can tell the other team isn't trying. So we still try and play competitively, but at the same time you don't really want to be in your face."

Westpark's next regular season match-up is one week from today when they host Sanford.
