*SUNDAY*

Sunday afternoon saw the 'B' Draw wrap up with 2 more qualifiers being named. Saskatchewan's Nancy Martin and Catlin Schneider, and Scotland's Gina Aitken and Bruce Mouat each advanced after winning their respective finals. Mouat's excited to be making an appearance in today's playoffs.

"Yeah, (making the playoffs) was our aim for the week, just make the playoffs. We're feeling good about our games right now, and we're playing really well."
He says it's some of the best competition he's seen at a mixed doubles event.

"This is our first time playing mixed doubles in a tour event in Canada, we played the Worlds in 2015 but every team here is kind of really good, and that's what you expect when you come to Canada and that's why we do it."

The 'C' Draw finals saw 4 more teams qualify Sunday night. China's Rui Wang and De Xin Ba, and 3 more Canadian parings. Wayne Tuck Jr. and Kimberly Tuck, Olympic Gold Medallist Jennifer Jones and Brent Laing, and last year's champions Rachel Homan and John Morris. Homan says the ice conditions continue to deteriorate, making things tougher as the competition moved along.

"It's been great. I know the ice makers are having a tough time with such amazing weather in October -- it's hard to complain about nice weather outside -- but it's definitely taking a toll on the ice. But we'll try and find a way to win and hopefully kind of get on a roll."

The first draw of the playoffs goes today at 9 a.m. The Canad Inns Classic's Championship Final is at 2 p.m. There are updated photos below
