The PCI Trojans will take to the field tomorrow in the Manitoba High School Field Lacrosse League playoffs in Winnipeg. They are up against the Sturgeon Heights Huskies in their semi-final game. The Trojans played the Huskies twice already this season and came away with a pair of wins but Coach Joe Papst says that shouldn't be reason to count Sturgeon Heights out just yet.

"Like any team, same as ours, they're a different team than we saw a month ago," says Papst. "Really just trying to walk the line of playing with confidence, we were the first place team in our division, making sure that we play with the confidence that we earned from being that successful while still respecting our opponent and still showing up with the proper attitude."

The Trojans compiled an impressive 7-1 record for the season, dropping only their first game of the season. Since then they are undefeated, including a statement win over Vincent Massey, the only team to beat them in the regular season. Papst praised the team for their mental fortitude even when the game gets heated.

"The team dynamic and the maturity of our team is so much further ahead than it was last year," notes Papst. "There have been many games where we've benefitted from staying level-headed and staying out of the penalty box."

Win or lose the Trojans will play one more game on the season. They will either play in the championship match or the consolation, both take place in Winnipeg on Sunday.
