For me, Thanksgiving weekend is all about being thankful and being grateful for the good things in life.

For Thanksgiving 2020, I was thankful it was not Thanksgiving 2019.

I spoke with local weather specialist Henry Romance who talked about just how much snow fell over the course of the weekend.

Henry says the temperature hovered around zero to plus 2 and we saw the wind top out at 94 kilometres per hour on Friday the 11th.

On Saturday morning, he recorded a snow depth of 27cm on the ground. By Monday morning, the snow depth had decreased to 12cm. He says the wet snow was melting on contact with the warm surface of the ground due to the temperatures being where they were.

Portage Online's Mike Blume recently looked back at the storm and you can read his story here.
