Stride Credit Union's Royal Road branch held its grand reopening this afternoon.

A barbeque was held outside in the parking lot and tours were being offered in the newly renovated building. Stride CEO Brent Budz says the reopening was an opportunity for them to welcome current and prospective members to the newly reopened branch. He explains after going through their merger they realized they need to make a few changes, which spurred the renovation.

"We realized that we needed a focal point branch and we needed to streamline some of our operations as well as take a look at our office space and our efficiency and how we can use this facility today and well into the future," Budz explains. "So a plan was struck to modernize our facility and we're just happy to show it off today."

He notes it has been a long journey and they would like to thank their members and their staff for their patience during the renovations.

The barbeque was held outside.

"At no point did we ever remove services to our members through our renovations so we're very proud of that and we're very proud of the effort put forward by our staff," says Budz.

He adds they also partnered with local charity Youth For Christ for their barbeque today with all the proceeds going toward YFC.
