The Reeve for the R.M of Woodlands in reflecting on what he calls a busy year. Reeve Trevor King highlights one of the projects they worked on throughout 2015.

"It's been a busy year. I guess one thing we are working towards that we started out last new year was working towards changing over the community pasture which will go into next year. We are going out on our own here and managing the community pasture from the R.M. "

King explains the PFRA is being eliminated, therefore the R.M decided to take over the pasture management and start up a co-op. He notes there were some exciting announcements made in 2015 in terms of employment.

"Aeroquip are expanding in the community of Woodlands. They are building a new manufacturing facility here to expand on their existing business. They are looking at about forty employees upon completion and the completion date is in June or July of next year and the construction is under way.

King says by expanding the business they are creating a number of job opportunities for people in the community.
