The Portage RCMP want you to arrive at your long weekend destination safely.

Corporal Leo Girouard stresses the importance of road safety, and encourages you to be aware of the road conditions, make sure your vehicle is in good operating condition and get lots of rest before hitting the road. 

Girouard reminds all motorists to buckle up and ensure children are strapped in appropriately. 

The Portage RCMP's main priority is calls for service, however if time permits they will set up check-stops throughout the weekend.
