Spruce Drive Farm is going to be blessing the community this weekend with another installment of their potato giveaway.

This Saturday, starting at 9 a.m., Portagers are encouraged to go to the Prairie Alliance Church parking lot and line their pockets with as many potatoes as they can handle.

The owner of the farm and the man organizing the sixth edition of this giveaway, Mark Peters, says that he has three trucks lined up for the giveaway.

"I'm kind of anticipating a little more need this year, so we're ready for that. There is a chance we could be having carrots brought as well. So, keep that in mind."

The event will go on until 2 p.m., and Peters says everybody is welcome to come and help themselves.

"Take some for your family or friends or neighbours or anyone that you can think of that could use some." continues Peters. "It's going to be a great day. The weather is supposed to be nice on Saturday, and we're really looking forward to blessing our town this way."

The owner of Spruce Drive Farms says this giveaway makes him feel amazing and is something that fuels him.

"My tank is full when I leave," concludes Peters.
