Portage la Prairie RCMP are investigating the theft of some equipment which was later found destroyed by fire.

Sometime between August 19th and the morning of the 21st, a flat deck trailer with an orange construction street packer was stolen from a site on Angle Road in the RM of Portage. Police found the burnt machinery in a remote location nearby.

The trailer is still missing. It is described as a black 2009 Bond trailer, with the licence plate CLP768.
