Manitoba First Nations Police Service officers seized over 100 grams of suspected cocaine and crack cocaine during a traffic stop in Sandy Bay.

Authorities say that on Monday, April 29, just before 9:00 p.m., officers conducted a stop of a vehicle with four occupants. During the stop, Manitoba First Nations Police Service officers detained the occupants for a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (COSA) investigation. They located suspected cocaine and crack cocaine in the possession of the driver and other items associated with drug trafficking in the vehicle.

Over 100 grams of suspected cocaine and crack cocaine were seized. 26-vear-old, Sicetus Akhinagba, of Brampton, Ontario, was charged with possession for trafficking cocaine. He was held in custody to appear in Portage la Prairie court on Tuesday, April 30. The other occupants were released without charges.
