Nominations packages are now available for the upcoming elections.

Anyone wishing to run for the RM or city of Portage council can now pick up a package at the respected office.

City Senior Election Officer Tieny Kirchner explains if you want information on the elections you can pick up a package, but there are other means of getting the information including the Internet. Meanwhile RM CAO Daryl Hrehirchuck notes incumbents who wish to seek re-election do not get special treatment.

He says they must pick up the packages the same as a new candidate.
