Manitoba RCMP are sharing details regarding an aggravated assault investigation in Portage la Prairie. 

At approximately 12:45 a.m. on June 15, mounties received a report of a possible motor vehicle collision under the Tupper Street Bridge on Trenton Avenue. Officers and Emergency Medical Services responded, but the victim was not found at the reported location. First responders continued to search and located a severely injured 25-year-old man sitting on the side of the road.

The man was reportedly walking home when he was assaulted by a group of three men, one of whom was driving an orange Honda dirtbike. The dirtbike struck the victim, and then two men assaulted him with an unknown weapon and stole personal property. They then fled the scene. 

The man on the dirtbike is described as an adult male with a muscular build. He was wearing shorts and had dark, curly hair down to his shoulders. One of the men who committed the assault had a star tattoo around his right eye with tear drops coming from it. There is no description of the third male involved.
