Portage Islanders were on the road last night in the South Eastern Manitoba Hockey League.

They faced the Maroons in Altona, and ended up on the wrong side of a 6-4 decision.

Jeremy Brooks had a strong outing for the Isles, scoring three goals. His first was the opening goal of the game, in the first period, followed by a pair in the second. Tanner Blight got the other Islanders' goal.

Mitch Wiebe was in goal for Portage. He saw 36 shots.

The Islanders are off until next Saturday, when Morden pays a visit to Stride Place.
