Hi Tec Industries of Portage is set to manufacture H & H Trailer product, after signing a deal with the Iowa-based company.

It means an increase in business of about 30 per cent for Hi Tec, and increased employment opportunities.

The deal also benefits Wilf's Elie Ford, which is one of the top H & H dealers in North America. General Manager Blake Legault believes it'll speed up production of short order items. That's because they won't be slowed down due to crossing the United States border.

Leagult thinks it's great to have H & H products manufactured locally. He points to having them Canadian-built as an important selling feature.

Legault also calls it a significant development for the regional economy.
