The province is using its entire fleet of helicopters to fight forest fires in Manitoba.

There are also 8 waterbombers and 13 other air crafts helping contain fires.

Fire program manager Tom Mirus says the although the community of Marchand is close to the forest, there's no need to panic.  He says the area isn't susceptible to lightning.

There are 50 forest fires burning in Manitoba right now, all are contained except for one east of Berens River.

Mirus says they're using up their resources and will soon be looking for more funding.  If we don't get adequate rain soon, they'll also be looking for more manpower and equipment from outside the province.
