The Portage la Prairie Potato Festival wrapped up recently, leaving behind a trail of happy memories and full bellies. Cindy McDonald, Co-chair of the festival, shared her thoughts on the event.

"It feels great.” She said, “It’s a lot of work so when you get to see these people out and families having a great time it makes it all worthwhile.”

Undoubtedly, the star of the show was the free fries. The line for these crispy treats didn't let up from opening to closing.

Planning for next year's big 20th-anniversary bash began six months ago. The excitement is palpable, especially with the impending announcement of the headlining act. Cindy promised that next year's celebration will be something to remember.

“I would like to say thank you to everyone who came out.” She said, “We started planning next years event 6 months ago. It’s our big 20th so we are going to blow it out of the water next year.”

With the festival's success and the promise of an even bigger celebration next year, the Portage Potato Festival continues to bring people together over great food and even greater memories.
