It wasn't an easy task, but the RM of Rockwood was able to come out on top after a tough year in 2015.

Reeve Jim Campbell explains how the RM was able to recover after losing a handful of long term staff members.

"We lost 5 long term employees due to retirement, etc. which kind of put us in a pickle. It's tough when you lose that kind of staff with their wealth of knowledge, but we were able to replace them with 5 very qualified people. We're quite pleased with ourselves that we were able to get through that hurdle."

Campbell says it was still a successful year and recaps some of the projects that were completed.

"We expanded 1 of our lagoons and we're in the process of doing a major lagoon with the penitentiary, so its a federal-municipal project. We hope to get the shovel in the ground on that in 2016. We did some work on our cenotaph in Stony Mountain and we're going to do some more work on that this year...the guys are planning on doing a memorial garden."

Campbell is looking forward to 2016 and adds it should be even more successful because they shouldn't have the same staff issues they had this year.
