Will Eert has been elected as the Reeve for the Municipality of Norfolk Treherne. Eert won the election with 50.06% of the votes and earned 388 votes total. Eert ran against Craig Spencer, who received 247 votes, and Tom Isford who obtained 113 votes. Eerts reaction to being elected, excitement.

"I'm very pleased with the trust shown to me by the residents of Norfolk Treherne," says Eert. "I feel honored, and as it sinks in I feel a very deep sense of responsibility."

Eert notes a council is a group a people who should work together for the good of the residence.

"You need to learn what the resident's needs are and see how to democratically meet those needs," explains Eert. "My goal is to have the residents in four years saying what happened on election day was a very good thing."

Eert adds him and his wife are going to be organizing a come and go tea so residents who didn't get a chance to meet him, will get to do so.
