The Portage la Prairie RCMP have issued a warrant of arrest for Francis Marcus Beaulieu after a break-and-enter and assault.

The incident occurred on March 6th, at approximately 11:30 p.m. Beaulieu forced his way into a residence on the 100th block of 9th St NW with an edged weapon.

The homeowner ran from Beaulieu. He then sprayed a noxious gas inside the residence before leaving. Residents of the home were not seriously injured by the spray. He fled the scene, and the police dog service was called to track him. The search led to a house in the 100 block of 10th Street NW, but Beaulieu was nowhere to be found.

A Warrant of Arrest has been issued for Beaulieu for charges of Break and Entering, Unauthorized Possession of Restricted Weapon, Weapons Possession Contrary to Order, Assault with a Weapon X2 and Administering Noxious Thing X2.
