Police are investigating a handful of break and enters that occurred in the Treherne area.

Constable Larry Neufeld, Portage la Prairie RCMP’s Media Liaison Officer, provides the details.

“On March 30, shortly after midnight, Treherne RCMP received a call of a break and enter into a business on Alexander Street in Treherne,” says Neufeld. “Officers attended and located a prying tool that was believed to have been used in gaining access into the building.”

Neufeld adds that some items were taken from this location and that police continue to investigate the matter.

On the same day, Treherne RCMP received calls about outbuildings that had been broken into in and around the Treherne area.

In one instance, a lock had been removed and access into the building was gained. In the other instance, a lock to a fuel tank was removed and it is unknown if any fuel had been taken.

Police say it is unknown exactly when these crimes occurred.
