Update: The RCMP say an early morning fire at the Tecza Motors building on Saskatchewan Avenue in Portage la Prairie isn't considered suspicious in nature. 

Firefighters and RCMP were called to the scene around 5 a.m., this morning, after a passerby reported seeing what looked like an orange, blinking light as he drove by. There is no word on what caused the fire or how much damage was sustained. No one was injured.

Portage la Prairie firefighters and RCMP were called out just before 5 o'clock this morning, after a fire was reported on Saskatchewan Avenue West, in the former Tecza Motors building. The blaze was reported by a passerby, who says he saw what looked like an orange, blinking light as he drove by. He immediately called the fire department, which sent two trucks.There are no reports of injuries, and the cause isn't known.
