The Portage Terriers and OCN Blizzard open the Manitoba Junior Hockey Leauge's Turnbull Cup Final tonight.

It's the third year in a row the Terriers have found themselves in the championship best-of-seven series. The Blizzard haven't been to the MJHL Final since 2006 when they lost to Winnipeg South Blues.

Portage needed six games to get by the first place Steinbach Pistons in their Semi-final, while the Blizzard swept the Winkler Flyers in the other. The Dogs won the season series against the Blizzard going 4-1-1 through the year. The only regulation loss they suffered came on October 23rd when they fell 10-2 to the Blizzard at Stride Place.

The Blizzard earned home advantage by finishing third overall. Terrier forward Ryan Hendrix expects a wild atmosphere at the OCN rink for the series.

"It's going to be like the OCN from like 10 years ago. It's going to be loud because fans are going to be pretty excited for them but we just have to stick to what we've been doing all playoffs and I think we'll be good."

The Terriers are 2-0-1 in OCN, with both victories being earned in extra time.

"We need to make sure we're out of our end as much as we can be," says defender Cody Thompson. "They're good on the rush so we need to have our last forward back, and hopefully, our goalies can make a couple of key saves like they did against Steinbach."

Game 1 is tonight in OCN, Game 2 is tomorrow. Tonight's game starts at 7 p.m. and you can hear the pregame show on CFRY and at Portage Online at 6:50.
