The PCI Trojans won their opening Zone 4 Playoff game against Carman last night at the PCU Centre.

They won 5-2 over Carman, and now hold a 1-0 lead in the best-of-3 series. Trojans' forwards Jaggar Barrault and Tyson Dyck each scored twice, and Tyler Grantham got one. PCI's GM Mark Essay outlines the game.

"I think Carman came to play a little more than we did. I think we were a little nervous, we had everything to lose out there and we played a little to careful. We were up 2-0 at the after the first period, but certainly in the second they came out with a little more than we did and they tied it up. We don't like to do everything easily ever," he laughs "So it took a little adversity, and we handled it well, and came out and played the better 3rd period by far."

Game two is tonight in Carman, and Essay expects a full house.

"Carman's going to put out a big effort, and they're going to have a full barn -- and that barn is small and noisy -- so they'll have a big momentum swing there tomorrow night. Hopefully we can silence the crowd nice and early, and finish off the first series."

Tonight's game is set for 6:30.
