Many budding NHL stars took to the ice yesterday for the annual Portage Minor Hockey Association's Squirt Tournament at Stride Place.

Over twenty teams of young hockey players, ages four to six, from all around the region are taking part in the tournament, which coordinator Crystal Pritchett says has been going very well so far.

She explains the goal of the tournament is for the kids to play hard, have fun and improve their hockey skills, adding everyone gets a medal.

The Squirt Tournament continues today at Stride Place.
