The Portage Collegiate Institute (PCI) Saints open their Winnipeg Women's High School Hockey League playoffs today in Winnipeg. They face the Fort Richmond Collegiate (FRC) Centurions in game 1 of their best-of-three series.

The Saints took the top spot in the 'B' Division to earn home advantage all the way through the playoffs. They broke the program record of 16 team wins with 18 this season, team points with 36, and goals-for with 110 in just 22 games. Game 1 is in Winnipeg tonight, with games 2 and 3 set in Portage la Prairie. They wrapped up the season on an eight-game winning streak, and finished the year 18-4.

The Centurions were able to take out the Saints in their first game of the year on October 13th, 2016. They met again before the Christmas break, the Saints shut them out 3-0 in that one. FRC had to play a survivor series to be able to face PCI -- they defeated Kelvin in two straight.

Today's game goes at 3:30 in Winnipeg.
