USA's powerplay showed it's dominance last night, as Team Canada fell 4-1 to the Yanks at the U-18 World Women's Championship in St. Catherine's.

Central Plains Capitals' Sheridan Oswald says the team does a great job of staying positive, and talks about her play.

"I think we just didn't get the start that we wanted, but the bench never gave up. We're always positive on the bench and being loud. I think overall I played an alright game -- definitely not one of my better games -- but hopefully as the semi-final's approach I'll pick it up a bit

Oswald gives her thoughts on Team USA.

"They're (USA) an all around good team, but I think if we play to our capabilities we will be just fine against them. We're going to have some powerplay meetings, and focus on what we need to get better and get it done."

Even with the loss Team Canada has been awarded a bye to the Semi-Final on Thursday, giving Oswald a little free time.

"We have a couple days off here and we'll be playing on Thursday. (Laughs) We have a little bit of parent time, it'll be nice to get away a bit. But we'll hopefully get some practices in and some sessions and stuff."

Today's games feature Russia and Finland in one quarter-final, Czech Republic and Sweden make up the other.
