We're beginning to get a better picture of what it's like on the roads this morning in southern Manitoba.

The wet snow that hit us yesterday and overnight has left streets in Portage la Prairie on the slippery side, and reports are now coming in about less than ideal conditions on the highways as well.

The Trans Canada Highway from Elie to the Highway 16 intersection is partly ice covered.

It's the same for Highway 26, from the Highway 248 junction, to the Trans Canada, near Portage.

Highway 2 between the junction of Highway 332 and Treherne is also partly ice covered.

Highway 34 from Austin to Holland is much the same.

You're reminded to give yourself extra stopping distance this morning.

Updates are here.
