The City of Portage continues its work of flushing watermain lines, and this week, they're focusing on areas north of the tracks.

According to the City's website, crews are in the area of 15th Street NW to Tupper Street NW. Much like previous weeks, the work will take place after 10 p.m. and should be done by 6 a.m. If you are in this area, they are asking you not to use any hot water until you have used your cold water taps to clear the line of any discolouration that may occur while they're flushing.

This work is being done to clear the watermains of iron and calcium scale deposits which allows us to have high-quality water. Week 5 wraps up on Sunday, July 28th.
