The City of Portage la Prairie remains on schedule with their water main flushing program as week 2 continues.
City crews have been working in the area of 15th Street NW to 8th Street NW between Saskatchewan and Fisher Avenues. As well, crews will continue from 9th Street SW westward to city limits between Crescent Road and Saskatchewan Avenue.
During the flushing, a precautionary water quality advisory will be in effect, and customers must not use water, to prevent sediment from being drawn into pipes and filters. To minimize interruption, flushing will take place between the night-time hours of 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.

After the flushing is complete, you should turn on the cold faucet and let the water run for 20 minutes or until it runs clear. If, after 20 minutes, water does not run clear, contact the City Operations Department at 204-239-8346.
