The rush at flower shops in Central Plains is picking up.

Valentine's Day is tomorrow and the florists in Portage la Prairie and surrounding area have been doing their part to keep romance alive with a wide range of gifts.

Bison Boutique of MacGregor owner Tracey Hodges says, aside from the traditional roses, they also have other gifts to make the day special.

"Everything from stuffed animals, coffee mugs, and all natural line of bath and body care".

Schapansky's Florist owner Will Pacholuk says they have full staff and they're ready to put together your customized bouquet.

"It's that time of year, and we've got an absolutely gorgeous selection to go from. Pick what you want, not what you have to. We're here to help you out and you're more than welcome".

Mil Jeanne Flowers owner Kyle Pettinger says staff are waiting and willing to help you find the perfect gift.

"It's coming down to crunch time now gentleman, and Mil Jeanne Flowers is ready and waiting to help you out so anything you might need, flowers, chocolates you name it, we'll get it done for you here. So please come on down".
