Treherne has now been judged. The judges of the 2006 Communities In Bloom contest were in the town Tuesday and Wednesday to judge their national entry. 

Committee Member Victoria Shaw explains they qualified for the national competition by earning five blooms in last years event --- their are eleven communities competing at the elite level.

 

Shaw thinks the judges responded favorable to Treherne and they will have the results in September.

She adds they are evaluated among other things, on the environment, how they preserve their culture and heritage, and the cleanliness and beautification of Treherne.
