The Portage Terriers are on the road today for a Manitoba Junior Hockey League (MJHL) game against the Waywayseecappo Wolverines.

The Dogs are coming off a big weekend where they were able to get three of four points against two teams higher in the standings.

"We played really good in Steinbach but didn't play as good in Selkirk and were fortunate to get a point of that one," says assistant coach Paul Harland. "Hopefully we'll come with the same energy and compete that we had in Steinbach."

The Terriers last meeting didn't go too well in Waywayseecappo, falling 6-4 on January 22nd. "We need to have learned from the last time we were up in Waywayseecappo where we didn't have a great performance and lost," adds Harland. "The points are more and more important down the stretch here so wins are big. If we come with our best effort we give ourselves a chance to win the hockey game."

The Dogs are 2-0-1 in February while the Wolverines 1-2. Tonight's game starts at 7:30 p.m. and can be heard on CFRY and at Portage Online dot com.
