The Portage Terriers are sending forward Joey Moffatt to the Estevan Bruins in exchange for future considerations. The Portage product finished as the Terriers leading scorer in the 2019-20 campaign and was among the top 5 point producers in the MJHL that season.

Last year he spent a brief stint in the North American Hockey League with the Minot Minotauros where he says he learned a lot about what he can improve on. The Dogs' loaned his rights to the Cowichan Valley Capitals later that season where he played in 20 BCHL contests and put up 9 points which placed him second on the squad in scoring.

Moffatt will be joining a Bruins team that finished second in their division in the last full season they played and went 4-1-1 in the six games last year. The 19-year-old is entering his final season of junior hockey eligibility and wants to put his best foot forward to get the opportunity to continue his hockey career beyond this season.
