One of two roundabouts at the west-end of Portage providing access through the Trans-Canada Highway west is now open. Some of the exits and entrances for the roundabout are closed, but traffic is currently flowing in both directions, including traffic from the bypass into Portage westward and all traffic eastward, whether it's into Portage or around via the bypass.

The eastbound Hwy #1 lanes moving into Portage from the west merge onto the westbound, allowing for both westbound and eastbound traffic to use both of those westbound lanes.  Traffic will flow over the overpass into Portage once again when construction is complete next year.

Traffic definitely slows down once it reaches the roundabout.
